کتاب «تربیت بدون فریاد» اثر هال ادوارد رانکل اولین بار سال ۲۰۰۵ منتشر شد و اکرم اکرمی آن را به فارسی نوشته و تاکنون به یازده زبان زنده‌ی دنیا ترجمه شده است. اگر دنبال کتاب برای تربیت فرزند هستید این جزو اولین کتاب‌هایی است که به والدین توصیه می‌شود.
هال ادوارد رانکل در ابتدای کتاب می‌گوید: «همان‌طور که خواهید دید این داستان‌ها بازگوکننده مراحل گوناگون روابط والد و فرزند در طول زندگی است. هرچند ماجرای زندگی هر فرد متفاوت از دیگری است، اما مطمئنم هر یک از شما شباهتی بین زندگی خود و این داستان‌ها خواهید یافت».
چیزی که واقعا همه‌ی بچه‌ها نیاز دارند، داشتن والدینی است که می‌توانند در هر شرایطی خونسردی خود را حفظ کنند. این کتاب درباره‌ی یادگیری کنترل کردن واکنش‌های احساسی و تمرکز بر رفتار خود، بیشتر از رفتار فرزندان است. بزرگ‌ترین دشمن کودکان تلویزیون، اینترنت، بازی‌های کامپیوتری نیست بلکه واکنش عاطفی والدین است.
شما می‌توانید انواع روابط آرام، محترمانه و محبت‌آمیز را با فرزندان خود ایجاد کنید و از این تعامل لذت ببرید. رانکل معتقد است که فرزندپروری درباره‌ی کودکان نیست بلکه مربوط به والدین است؛ والدینی که بیشتر به کنترل رفتار خود به‌جای رفتار فرزندان خود توجه می‌کنند، روابط خانوادگی قوی‌تر، باارزش‌تر و رضایت‌بخش‌تری خواهند داشت.
کتاب تربیت بدون فریاد راهنمایی کاربردی است که اصول اثبات‌شده و مؤثری برای غلبه بر اضطراب‌ها و استرس‌های والدین و ایجاد الگوهای جدید ارتباط و تعامل معرفی می‌کند. این کتاب با لحنی جذاب و محاوره‌ای نوشته شده است که بسیار منطقی، مستقیم و بر اساس تجربیات صدها خانواده است. این امر به همه‌ی والدین کمک می‌کند تا آرامش را برای خانواده‌اشان ایجاد کنند تا در آینده به افرادی دلسوز و مستقل تبدیل شوند.

همه‌ی ما به دنبال لحظه‌های سرشار از محبت و حتی دوستی با فرزندانمان هستیم اما این شیوه تربیتی چه تأثیری بر خانواده می‌گذارد؟ پاسخ این است که وقتی این شیوه زیاد اعمال شود تلاش والدین را برای تعیین جایگاه افراد خانواده خنثی می‌کند؛ زیرا دیگر از مسند اقتدار برخوردار نیستند. وقتی والدین همواره در پی آن‌اند که نیازهای عاطفی فرزندانشان را تأمین کنند، دیگر کودکان برای ثبات و راهنمایی به والدین خود نگاه نمی‌کنند. وقتی از این زاویه به روش تربیتی «بهترین دوست» نگاه می‌کنیم، مضر بودن آن را درمی‌یابیم. رشد بیشتر، حریم بیشتر حال تصدیق می‌کنید که کودکان به‌درستی نمی‌دانند که در کدام نقطه حریم آن‌ها تمام و حریم شما آغاز می‌شود.
۲. چگونه با کودکم رفتار کنم
انتخاب بهترین کتاب برای تربیت فرزند کار دشواری است اما کتابی که الان معرفی می‌کنیم یکی از اصولی‌ترین کتاب‌های تربیت کودکان است. برای کتاب «چگونه با کودکم رفتار کنم» اثر دکتر استیفن گاربر، اولین بار سال ۱۹۹۳ منتشر شد. این کتاب به والدین ایده‌هایی کاربردی و آسانی درباره‌ی برخورد با رفتار فرزندانشان در خانه و مدرسه، ارائه می‌دهد و تمرکز اصلی کتاب روی برخوردهای خود کودک و نحوه‌ی عکس‌العمل والدین است.

این کتاب راهنمایی جامع و پرفروش برای حل هزاران نمونه از چالش برانگیزترین مشکلات دوران کودکی فرزندانتان از تولد تا ۱۲ سالگی است که توسط سه متخصص کودک باتجربه، شامل یک روان‌شناس، یک مشاور آموزشی و یک معلم که همگی خودشان فرزند دارند، نوشته شده است.

کتاب «چگونه با کودکان صحبت کنیم تا گوش دهند و چگونه گوش دهیم تا کودکان صحبت کنند» اثر ادل فبر، الین مازلیش اولین بار سال ۱۹۸۰ منتشر شد. این کتاب جاودانه و عالی درباره‌ی نحوه‌ی برقراری ارتباط مؤثر با فرزندتان اثر یکی از نویسندگان پرفروش شماره ۱ نیویورک‌تایمز است و جزو پرفروش‌ترین کتاب‌های تربیت کودک است.
این کتاب مملو از سناریوهایی است که به شما کمک می‌کند راه‌حل هر مسأله یا چالشی که ممکن است با فرزندان خود داشته باشید را پیدا کنید. این کتاب راهکاری عالی برای والدین و معلمان ارائه می‌دهد که باید بخوانند تا مهارت‌های ارتباطی خوب با کودکان را توسعه دهند.

فردای آن روز که مشکلم را با او در میان گذاشتم به کلاس من آمد و یک جلد کتاب «به بچه‌ها گفتن، از بچه‌ها شنیدن» را به دستم داد و گفت: نمی‌دانم این کتاب به دردت می‌خورد یا نه، ولی مطالب آن سلامت عقل مرا از دست بچه‌هایم در خانه نجات داد. مطمئنا کاربرد آن در کلاس هم مؤثر است. از او تشکر کردم. کتاب را در کیفم گذاشتم و فراموشش کردم. یک هفته بعد که در اثر سرماخوردگی در رختخواب بودم، از بیکاری کتاب را برداشتم و آن را باز کردم. واژه‌های درشت و پررنگ صفحه‌ی اول بر من هجوم آوردند.
۴. چگونه انسان‌هایی موفق تربیت کنیم: درس‌هایی ساده برای نتایج اساسی
کتاب «چگونه انسان‌هایی موفق تربیت کنیم: درس‌هایی ساده برای نتایج اساسی» اثر استر ووجیسکی یکی از بهترین کتاب‌های تربیتی است که اولین بار سال ۲۰۱۹ منتشر شد. چگونه به فرزندان و دانش آموزان خود کمک کنیم تا در دنیای پیچیده‌ی امروز پیشرفت کنند؟
نویسنده‌ی این کتاب دانش خود را در یک کتاب راهنمای قابل‌دسترس برای والدین، معلمان و سایرین که در پرورش رشد کودک یا نوجوان نقش دارند، جمع‌آوری کرده است. نحوه‌ی تربیت افراد موفق به ما نشان می‌دهد که چگونه بهترین خود باشیم تا فرزندانمان بتوانند بهترین خود باشند. ووجیسکی نکات مطرح‌شده در کتاب را با نمونه‌هایی از زندگی شخصی و حرفه‌ای خود نشان می‌دهد. این کتاب به دنیای ذهنی کودکان وارد می‌شود و به والدین یادآوری می‌کند که کودک درک و نگرش متفاوتی نسبت به مسائل اطراف دارد.

نویسنده با لحنی محاوره‌ای اما متفکرانه، از والدین می‌خواهد تا درباره‌ی دوران کودکی خود فکر کنند تا متوجه شوند که «گاهی اوقات یک کودک رویای متفاوتی نسبت به والدین خود دارد».
در پشت جلد این کتاب آمده است:
یکی از بزرگ‌ترین اشتباهات ما پدر مادرها، تصور مسئولیت شخصی در قبال احساسات فرزندانمان است، پدر و مادرها احساس می‌کند مجبورند حافظ خوشبختی فرزندانشان باشند. به احساس می‌کنند این مسئولیت بر عهده‌ی آن‌هاست و می‌توانند آن را کنترل کند ما – والدین – هر کاری می‌کنیم تا نگذاریم بچه‌هایمان سخنی با رنج بکشند. این یعنی هیچ‌وقت اجازه نمی‌دهیم با بختی و بدبختی مواجه شوند، درنتیجه استقلال با پشتکار پیدا نمی‌کنند و به‌جای اینکه قدرت نوآوری داشته باشند، از جهان اطرافشان می‌ترسند. یک اشتباه بزرگ دیگر؛ ما به آن‌ها یاد می‌دهیم فقط روی عملکرد خودشان تمرکز کنند باید معدل عالی بگیرید.
۵. ۵۰ کار خطرناکی که باید اجازه داد بچه‌ها انجام دهند
کتاب «۵۰ کار خطرناکی که باید اجازه داد بچه‌ها انجام دهند» اثر گِوِر تولی و جودی اشپیگلر، سال ۲۰۰۹ منتشر شد. بهترین کتاب برای تربیت فرزند است.
این کتاب با پروژه‌ها، فعالیت‌ها، تجربیات و مهارت‌های مختلف از «راه رفتن روی طناب» بگیر تا «بازی با آتش» و ۴۸ ایده‌ی عالی دیگر، بیانیه‌ای برای بچه‌ها و والدین است تا دوران کودکی را بازیابند.
به‌راحتی می‌توان دستورالعمل‌ها، حقایق سرگرم‌کننده و تعهدات چالش‌برانگیزی را در این کتاب مطالعه کرد که برای تمام خانواده‌ها مفید و الهام‌بخش است. از همه مهم‌تر، چیزهای «خطرناک» زیادی وجود دارد که جالب، حیرت‌انگیز یا فقط سرگرم‌کننده هستند! در واقع جنبه‌های خطر تقریبا در هر کاری که انجام می‌دهیم وجود دارد، اما نکته‌ی اصلی این است که بیاموزیم چگونه مهارت و تسلط کافی داشته باشیم تا خطر را به حداقل برسانیم. اکثر ما نحوه‌ی راه رفتن را بعد از کلی تلو تلو خوردن و سقوط و آسیب، در سنین بسیار کم یاد می‌گیریم درحالی‌که راه رفتن کار خطرناکی نیست.
در جلد پشت کتاب ۵۰ کار خطرناکی که باید اجازه داد بچه‌ها انجام دهند آمده است:
شاید بگویید کارهایی که در این کتاب توصیه می‌شود برای بچه‌ها یا هرکس دیگری خیلی خطرناک است. اما بنده معتقدم که دست نزدن به این‌جور کارها از دست زدن به آن‌ها برای خود و جامعه ما خطرناک‌تر است. با این فعالیت‌ها راه‌های واقعی برای مواجهه‌ی اولین بار با پدیده‌ها پیش رو قرار می‌گیرد، فرصت برای نظارت محتاطانه فراهم می‌شود، و پرسش‌های جدیدی در ذهن به وجود می‌آید. ولی ما در این کتاب از این نوع فعالیت‌ها و راهنمایی‌ها برای تربیت افراد پرسشگر، کنجکاو، آزمایشگر و متفکر حمایت می‌کنیم. این ابزارها کودکان ما را به اعضای کنجکاو اجتماع تبدیل و زیربنای پرورش نسل بعدی مخترعان، نوآوران، و رهبران ما را پی‌ریزی می‌کند.
۶. مهارت‌های مقابله با افسردگی کودکان و نوجوانان
کتاب «مهارت‌های مقابله با افسردگی کودکان و نوجوانان» اثر کارول فیتزپاتریک و جان شری، سال ۲۰۰۴ منتشر شد. اختلالات افسردگی می‌توانند تغییرات چشمگیر و ترسناکی در رفتار کودکان و نوجوانان ایجاد کنند؛ ممکن است والدین متوجه شوند که فرزندشان مشکلاتی دارد ولی متوجه نمی‌شوند که دقیقا منشا مشکل از چیست.
کتاب مهارت‌های مقابله با افسردگی کودکان و نوجوانان یک کتاب جامع و فوق‌العاده است که توسط نویسندگان ایرلندی درباره‌ی نحوه‌ی کمک به جوانان مبتلا به افسردگی نوشته شده است.
این کتاب به والدین نشان می‌دهد که چگونه تفاوت بین ناراحتی‌های معمولی و افسردگی واقعی فرزندانشان را تشخیص دهند و به آن‌ها در درک بهتر علائم هشدار دهنده‌ی بالینی افسردگی و روش‌های مختلف درمان آن کمک می‌کند.
